Writing Wednesday: It's thursday and 12:00 but I'm doing it anyways

Do it anyways, stop procrastinating, stop making excuses. I read an excellent article (you should read it) about getting shit you want done. If you want to get something done, it’s easy. First rule is that there are no excuses. No “I’m not ready”, “I’ll do it tomorrow”, “I’ll do it when I have less work”, “I’ll do it when I’m a little more fit”, etc. etc. You get the picture and we’ve all been in the position, trying to figure out ALL the reasons why NOT to do something. Stop it, you’re only holding yourself back.

What is it you’ve been wanting to do, but only finding yourself filled to the brim with excuses to get it done? Of course it’ll be hard, and it’ll feel like crap sometimes, but what the hell are you going to achieve in life without hard work? For me, it was taking pictures. I had a couple excuses “I’m too tired”, “the weather’s not good”, “I can’t find anyone to shoot with”, etc. After a while I just stopped caring and went out and did it. So take the leap and get it done.

Disclaimer: I know I sound all high and mighty writing this, but it’s still hard getting past the initial hurdles to getting what I want done. What matters is persistence.
